Systems Administrator

Currently we are seeking a dynamic individual in our growing Technology department. The individual will report to the Director of IT but will provide company wide support. This role focuses on providing systems and network management including help desk support and will be the primary liaison between the company and all third party vendors and IT providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • On-Premise windows virtual server support
  • Network support (VPN, firewall, switches, printers, active directory, group policies)
  • VOIP
  • Office 365 suite support (Licenses, AD Azure, SharePoint)
  • Employee onboarding/offboarding
  • Software management (Procurement, maintenance, installation)
  • Device management (Procurement, maintenance, configuration, optimization)
  • Provide document workflow of all procedures to ensure consistency and monitoring them to guarantee greatest success
  • Liaison between SKYGRiD and Vendors to streamline user support, escalate internal projects, and document all installation requirements
  • Provide guidance, recommendations, and execution of all new technology
  • Document and communicate industry trends
  • Help desk support
  • Job site support (Site office support and setup)
  • Assist with project implementations and other ad-hoc duties required by management

Required Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and work experience • Minimum 5 years systems administration experience, working in a structured corporate environment
  • Strong working proficiency with Windows Servers 2012 and later
  • Understanding of networking concepts both on-premise and cloud (Microsoft AD Azure, O365)
  • Ability to diagnose problems, research issues, and provide support for a wide range of applications
  • Exceptional multi-tasking abilities and prioritization skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels within, as well as outside the organization
  • Ability to manage and balance multiple concurrent assignments and deadlines
  • Ability to work in agile environment and interest in continuous process improvement • Valid driver’s license

Start date: ASAP
Job location: Toronto, ON
Traveling required: Travelling among sites in GTA (approximately 2-3 times per month). Otherwise, stationed at head office.
