National Day for Truth & Reconciliation
On September 30th, we observe Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. This day is an opportunity to reflect on the lives of the many children who never returned home from residential schools and to recognize the profound impact this has had on Indigenous communities across Turtle Island. It’s vital for all of us to learn the true history of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples and to understand our responsibilities as treaty people.
At SKYGRiD, we are committed to deepening our understanding and actively engaging in reconciliation to help build a brighter future for everyone on these lands. Our SKYGRiD team gathered in orange to honor and remember those affected by Canada’s residential school system.
