This position offers an excellent introduction for individuals aspiring to build a dynamic career in pre-construction and technology. Working at head office with the pre-construction department, you will be involved in diverse projects throughout pursuit, pre-construction, and construction phases. Leveraging BIM, the role focuses on facilitating project management and enhancing planning. Training and development are the focus of this position where we have had outstanding results developing industry leading professionals who work both in BIM and project management positions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing 2D/3D logistics construction phasing and sequencing drawings using REVIT.
  • Prepare quantity take-offs utilizing 3D models and 2D drawings.
  • Manage 3D models.
  • Perform clash detection and support BIM coordination meetings.
  • Assist the development of company standards to accomplish and improve BIM workflows, through REVIT families and templates.
  • Support the development of BIM Execution Plans according to each project goals.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders to understand pre-construction processes and requirements.
  • Assist in activities related to the procurement and tendering processes.
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Canadian Post- Secondary institution with a focus in a technology/ Technician/ Bachelor/ Post- Graduate program in Construction or Civil/ Structural Engineering.
  • Must have advanced understanding of REVIT.
  • Must have good comprehension of Architectural and Structural drawings.
  • Must be motivated to learn about construction.
  • Must have good organizational and time management skills. Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Works well in a team setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a reliable, responsive and positive work ethic.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.).
