National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

On September 30th we mark Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. It is a day to reflect and honour the lost lives of thousands of children who did not return home from attending residential schools, and the painful legacy this has had on Indigenous communities throughout Turtle Island. It is incumbent on each of us to learn the true history of First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples and to understand our relationship as treaty people. At SKYGRiD, we are committed to enhancing our learning and demonstrating our commitment to reconciliation to build a better future for everyone who calls these lands home.
